The Yakult Swallows beat the Chunichi Dragons, 17-1.

The Swallows are playing pretty well in October so far. They have outscored their opponents, 45-21 over there last 7 games (including tonight's) and have gone 4-2-1 during that span.

The offense ran on all cylinders today for the Swallows. They sent 9 batters to the plate in the 7th and 11 players to plate in the 8th. In just those two innings, the Swallows went 10-for-17 with 2 walks, an hbp, a triple, a homerun and scored 12 runs. Hiroyasu Tanaka drove in runs in both of those innings and ended the game 3-for-5 with a double, 2 runs scored and 2 rbis. Ryohei Kawamoto had three plate appearances over those two innings, ultimately finishing 2-for-4 with 2 runs scored, an rbi, and an hbp.

NOTES: Norichika Aoki went 2-for-4 and is now batting .355. ... The 17 runs the Swallows scored was a team high this season. The 17 runs given up the Dragons was also a team high for the season.

Gen, are the team stats available anywhere that you know of? I've searched for them, but I can't seem to find them in English. Even japanbaseball.com, which does a decent job with individual stats, doesn't have them. It would be helpful to gauge how the teams stack up against each other in a few of the more important ones. It's not overly important, but maybe after the season if you could put a few of them up.

The Swallows' good offensive game got me wondering how they compare with the rest of the league.

Do you mean the team totals? I think I might be able to round those up.

Yeah, for instance, what you see at Baseball Reference. Obviously, I'm not looking for anything as in depth as they have, but just something that might show the basic stats.

Please don't go to a lot of trouble. It might be better to wait until after the season is over anyways.
